The app you are referring to (from D. Atlanski) is bulky and unstable. I was using Yahoo Service before and there was an awesome plugin that worked in conjuncture with last.fm app. However since Yahoo and Rhapsody merged, I am struggling to find a decent scrobbler. The main issue I see with your approach is you have to fake a log-in and that seems "evil"...
